Congratulations Sensei John Gough
Congratulations Sensei John Gough
One of my youngest students achieved is Shodan 1st Dan in Shotokan Karate at the ripe age of 75. His name is the legend John Gough who has been a massive inspiration to so many students that have trained alongside him at TSKC over the years.
John is the most kind-hearted gentlest man you could ever meet; it is an absolute pleasure to be in his company inside and outside of the dojo. At the young age of 75 John still trains 3 times a week every week, even requesting further personal one to one training over at his garage whenever I’m free or when any other students are available. There is no stopping him!
John and his wife Sisko started martial arts with Traditional Shotokan Karate Clubs (TSKC) within our local school back in 2018. John has also previously studied Judo at Southeast London and achieved the grade of Brown Belt under Sensei Harry Humm. John then went on to achieve his Black Belt with the British Judo Council in Kent.
John is well respected within TSKC by all the students and parents from young to old and always assists in the training and setting up of the equipment. He just never stops and is always willing to help everyone. John still enjoys the physical side of the martial art Shotokan Karate, continuously joining in with the full-on kumite and Jiyu Ippon, hitting like a train at full speed.
TSKC are very proud to have such an amazing student that is so inspirational when you see the amount of effort, commitment and stamina he expresses toward his training regime.
So, Sensei John a massive “OSU” on achieving your BLACK BELT from all the Instructors & Students at TSKC.
